2026 Fredericton Encaenia - Ceremony D
Thursday, 28th May @ 2:30 pm, in the Richard J. Currie Centre, for graduates of Computer Science; and Engineering.
The afternoon's schedule:
Noon – 1:30 p.m. | Pick up parade cards and regalia from the Alberta Alumni Recreation Centre, first floor, The Richard J. CURRIE CENTER.
1:30 p.m. (please arrive by 1:20 p.m.) | Participate in a mandatory orientation session in the Alberta Alumni Recreation Centre, first floor, The Richard J. CURRIE CENTER.
All those receiving degree parchments at the ceremony are required to attend the orientation to receive instructions and information on how to properly wear academic regalia and the degree granting process. Graduands will also receive their parade cards.
2 p.m. | Graduands line up for the academic procession on the second-floor walking track in The Richard J. CURRIE CENTER and march through the Kinesiology building and up Mackay Drive to The Richard J. CURRIE CENTER. Since Mackay Drive has an incline, graduands should consider the distance covered by the procession when selecting footwear.
2:30 p.m. | Ceremony D is held in the performance hall on the fourth floor of The Richard J. CURRIE CENTER.
Rental regalia must be returned to the Alberta Alumni Recreation Centre immediately following the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, graduates, their guests and ceremony participants are invited to an Encaenia Tea in the Long Hall, fourth floor, The Richard J. CURRIE CENTER. Light refreshments will be served.
During the Encaenia Tea, you will be able to purchase a UNB degree parchment frame. Also, the UNB Bookstore will have UNB branded merchandise on-site.
Flowers may be pre-ordered and picked up prior to the ceremony or purchased on-site during the Encaenia Tea.
