2026 Saint John Convocation

Friday, 29th May 2026 @ 3:00 pm, in the G. Forbes Elliot Athletics Centre. 

The day's schedule: 

11 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. | K.C. Irving Hall, Rm. 106 – Graduands pick up convocation regalia (academic robe [gown], academic cap [mortarboard or doctoral beefeater], hood).

1:30 p.m. | In front of the Hans W. Klohn Commons – Graduands gather for the Associated Alumni Toast. Join members of the UNB Associated Alumni for the traditional alumni toast to celebrate the accomplishments of the spring 2026 Saint John graduands. The toast will be delivered by a member of the #ProudlyUNB alumni family.

1:40 p.m. | In front of the Hans W. Klohn Commons – Class of 2026 Group Photograph.

2 p.m. | Sir Howard Douglas Hazen Hall (tunnel) - Line up of graduands for the academic procession.

2:50 p.m. | Procession from the Sir Howard Douglas Hazen Hall (tunnel) to the back of the G. Forbes Elliot Athletics Centre. Graduands should consider the distance covered by the procession when selecting footwear.

Rental regalia must be returned to K.C. Irving Hall, Rm. 106 immediately following the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, graduands, their guests and ceremony participants are invited to a Convocation Reception in the Baird Dining Hall, in the Thomas J. Condon Student Centre. Light refreshments will be served.

During the Convocation Reception, you will be able to purchase a UNB degree parchment frame. Also, the Campus Store will have UNB branded merchandise on-site.

Flowers may be pre-ordered and picked up prior to the ceremony or purchased on-site in front of the G. Forbes Elliot Athletics Centre.
