WILLIAM JOHN WEST
to be Doctor of Laws
William John West, Queen's Counsel, veteran of War and the Bar, is known to harbour pride in two only of his life's experiences -- his birth in Queen's County and his membership in the Conservative party. For both these an enemy (if he had one) would pardon, even as we, his friends, congratulate him. We congratulate, too, his Government which has grappled to its bosom this their staunch champion, tenacious alike of ideas, politics and friendship, and made him their trusted Attorney-General for the Province.
