Prof. Hyde addressed the graduating class, reminding them of the importance of the era upon which they were entering, the consummation of all their previous course of study. He said, that the importance of a college education did not consist in the amount of book learning which was acquired, but was valuable on account of the society and the contact with fellow men, which smoothed the angles of character and created a sense of good fellowship. He knew he would always find them devoted to the welfare of Canada and of mankind.
