... Mr. Kierstead's valedictory address next followed. The valedictorian explained that the duty had been relegated to him by Mr. W. J. Fowler, B.A., at the last moment, Mr. Fowler having been first selected by the class, but from other other duties he was obliged to obtain a substitute. It is impossible to give a full outline of Mr. Kierstead's address, which contained some wholesome suggestions. It was delivered in a dashing style and met with applause.
