"Eat your vegetables. The long-term benefits of proper nutrition have been proved by medical science, thereby confirming the unrivalled wisdom of your mother," Pamela Gordon advised.
Gordon is the youngest and first female premier in Bermuda’s 400-year history. Her father, a medical doctor, was also a politician who worked to win equal-rights legislation for the island’s Afri-Caribbean population.
In her light-hearted speech to the graduates she urged them to celebrate out loud, cling to their principles, keep their friends and like themselves.
