Ward’s advice to students was weaved with stories of his personal experience since graduating from the university.
He told them to accept change with open arms, always be candid and be sensitive to the passage of time.
"You don’t need to necessarily think about getting older, but you do need to be aware that not everything happens right away," Ward said.
"Some things take time. You have to be patient, but also wary that sometimes time goes by quickly."
